We’re accountants who code.

Finit is a Jersey chartered accountancy practice that builds its own automation. We do the finance work, from bookkeeping to NAV, and we engineer the systems that take the manual effort out of it.

Why this matters now

Jersey has more finance work coming than people to do it.

The work keeps arriving, more entities, more reporting, more scrutiny. The people to do it by hand don’t exist on the island: financial services runs at effectively full employment, and housing and permits cap who can move here. Most teams absorb it the only way they can, with longer hours and bigger spreadsheets, until the month-end starts to creep.

You can add people.

Except you can’t, not at the pace the work is growing, and not at a cost that holds. Every firm on the island is bidding for the same accountants.

Or you can stop doing it by hand.

Most of the hours in finance work are spent moving data between systems. That part can be engineered away, without touching your controls, your judgment, or your sign-off. That’s what we do.

What we do

We do the accounting. And we build what runs it.

Most firms give you one or the other: an accountant who works in spreadsheets, or a software team that doesn’t understand a trial balance. Finit is both, in the same people.

The finance work

Bookkeeping, management accounts, NAV production, reconciliations, consolidated and regulatory reporting, year-end, GST, payroll and tax, delivered to chartered standard by qualified accountants.

The automation underneath

Reconciliation, cost tracking, invoice and PO matching, deliverable production, variance flagging. Built by the same people who do the accounting, so it’s designed by someone who knows what the numbers have to mean.

Senior people, not a pyramid

There’s no floor of juniors re-keying data on your bill. The routine work is done by systems, so the person on your account is the one who built them.

What changes

What you actually get out of it.

The close stops creeping

Work that ran for days runs in minutes, so month-end becomes a review rather than a scramble.

Errors surface before delivery

Every run checks itself and halts on anything that doesn’t tie out, rather than a client finding it later.

Capacity without hiring

More volume stops meaning more headcount, which matters on an island where there isn’t any to hire.

Fees that don’t track hours

Automation improves our margin, not your bill. The engagement gets faster over time instead of dearer.

Who we work with

Complexity is the filter, not size, and not sector.

What our clients have in common isn’t what they’re called. It’s a finance function with more moving parts than manual process can keep up with: multiple entities, real volume, consolidation, and reporting to people who check it.

Funds & structures

NAV, reconciliations, consolidated and regulatory reporting, multi-entity accounting, run by chartered accountants on automation we built. We work alongside your own team or your administrator; your controls and your sign-off don’t move.

How an engagement runs

Three steps, and you can stop after any of them.

STEP 1

Process review

Half a day, free. We map one workflow, count the manual hours, and tell you what we’d automate, and what we wouldn’t. You owe us nothing at the end of it.

STEP 2

Fixed-fee pilot

We automate that one workflow end-to-end for a price agreed up front, inside your controls, validated on every run, audit-trailed. You see the hours come out before committing to anything ongoing.

STEP 3

Scale on retainer

Once the pilot has proved itself, what worked for one workflow rolls across the rest, tracked monthly in numbers you can check.

Why the automation is real

We build production software, not spreadsheets with ambitions.

The same team ships full applications, web and mobile builds, cloud infrastructure, dashboards and business intelligence. That engineering depth is exactly what makes the finance automation hold up in production.
